What happens during a massage treatment?

In an atmosphere of soft music and candlelight if desired Clients are invited to relax into the bliss of either receiving a full body massage or they can select to just have a treatment on their back, neck and shoulders.

I shall advise about how the massage may benefit you and how to look after yourself following the massage.

During the treatment, I will use towels to ensure your modesty is kept at all times. I shall use oils to massage and to help nourish the skin and allow a fluid free flowing massage

A massage involves different massage techniques being applied, a series of gentle stretching of the muscles and deep tissue massage to stimulate and sooth nerves which are designed to stimulate the blood supply to encourage fresh nutrients and oxygen to the muscles, bones and skin. The body's natural waste disposal system, called the lymphatic system is stimulated to aid the removal of toxins from the body.

After the massage treatment you may feel relaxed, peaceful, feel tired, light headed or even energised and I will encourage you to drink lots of water following a massage to assist in the removal of toxins from the body.

This therapy is suitable for most people but there are certain conditions where a person has to avoid a massage treatment, therefore to find out if you are able to have a treatment I shall first complete a consultation with you to make sure the treatment is right for you.

I may require before I can treat you permission from your doctor because of a medical condition or medication you are receiving at present.

Please note that a confidential record shall be kept with any relevant notes so we can discuss your future treatments.
